Oddisee - Skipping Rocks Ever since coming to Budapest, I’ve had a lot on my mind. Everything from the social anxieties of making new friends, learning new things in class, dealing with living in a large city, to other intangibles really take a toll on me. Thank god that I have my own music to listen to, because otherwise I’d probably lose a screw. But one album that I keep coming back too because of the soothing vibes is Oddisee’s most recent release titled Rock Creek Park. This track in particular just strikes a chord with me. Everything about it just coalesces so well with each other creating a sum that’s greater than the parts. The simple piano leads into some subtle percussion, which morphs into some downright sensual brass and strings, and then continues to evolve into nothing but pure aural pleasure.
