Logics - Focus (feat. Geo from Blue Scholars)

There’s something to be said for when an artist sounds different when he/she isn’t working with their main act. While many rappers these days (mainstream and otherwise) feature on many tracks, Geo (from the fantastic duo Blue Scholars) is one of those guys that’s just like a chameleon. He manages to match the vibe of just about any beat that’s put in front of him. This would be just one fantastic example. 

While Geo may throw down his verse like it’s nobody’s business, that would be overlooking the two other cruxes of the track: Logics’ soulful chorus and Marcus D’s downright funky beat. Both of which wind around each other and coalesce so well. That combined with Geo’s aforementioned verse, you get a track that worms its way into your head and gets stuck until you get around to hearing it again. Only unlike other songs that get stuck, you actually won’t be sick of it after a couple repeats.
