Teebs - Double Fifths

I have no idea where this L.A. based producer came from, but all of a sudden he releases a split EP with Daedalus, and a full LP titled Ardour that’s scheduled to drop today(!) via Flying Lotus’s label, Brainfeeder. If this track is any indication of what’s to come, golly gee whillikers I don’t know what I’d do with myself.

On this particular track, Teebs starts out with a particularly dreamy sample of some stringed instrument, which is nicely complemented by a deliciously crunchy beat. From there, he just finds a tasty groove and chills harder than a bro rocking nothing but a lax jersey, backwards baseball cap, and vineyard vines shorts while sipping on a natty ice during the summer time. I would recommend you do the same: sit back, chill, and let this beautiful beat wash over you like waves on a beach. But without all the bro-ness I described earlier, because I’m pretty sure that if you did both, the world would implode. Or you would be the most ironic person out there. Take notes, would-be hipsters.
