Jay Electronica - Exhibit C

Well, I just finished taking my final exams. Thank god. Throughout all the stress and what not, one of the few things that kept me going was this absolute masterpiece of a song by the most recent addition to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, Jay Electronica. 

I would like to start out by saying that the samples in this song are picked so well, and the beat finds such an effortless groove, it’s downright entrancing. Then add some of Jay’s lyrics: “I’m bringing ancient mathematics back to modern man / My momma told me never throw a stone and hide your hand / I got a lot of family, you got a lot of fans / That’s why the people got my back like the Verizon man / I play the back fade to black and then devise a plan.” Not to mention he name checks Nikolai Tesla and Nas. All of this combined with Jay’s downright sensual flow adds up to one delectable jam that turns into pure aural pleasure once it hits your ears. If this isn’t the closest you can get to a mission statement, then I don’t know what is.
