Wind Down Wednesday: Thundercat - For Love I Come
I first heard of Thundercat from the absolutely mind-blowing collaboration with Flying Lotus on the track “Mmmhmm”. Once I saw his name pop up on a solo track, I couldn’t help but give it a listen. Sure enough, I stumbled upon a downright tasty jam. This track starts out with the chillest of intros, complimented by vocals that are equally as smooth. About two-thirds of the way in, it descends into a barely containable jam session that sounds like John Coltrane’s rhythm working it out. I wouldn’t expect anything less considering it’s a cover of the one and only George Duke. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen.
