Young Montana? - Connct
At long last, Young Montana? has released a full-length album. When his first single Sacre Cool came out, I nearly lost my shit it was so good. With such high hopes, I must admit I was very surprised with how Limerence turned out. It was a lot more glitchy than I had anticipated, but it’s still worth listening to. When listened to as a whole from front to back, it sounds like Young Montana? has the control to some massive radio and is constantly changing stations on you. A great example of this is last minute or so of “Legwrap”.
But this track is fantastic from start to finish. It starts out like a fist-pumping club number, but then slowly shifts to what sounds like an intimate session with a worn out and warped musical box containing a ballerina that has just been opened for the first time in countless years. From there it shifts back again to the uptempo beat that started out the track. Even though it wasn’t what I was expecting, it’s still a great track that’s worth repeating.
